Following the footsteps of the Super Stock specials, Trans Am E-bodies and 1970s circle-track kit cars, the Demon was purpose-built. However, this time it was designed for maximum street potential with systems that could enjoy highway use yet propel the machine down the quarter-mile in record times.The Demon offered here shows just 1,663 miles on its odometer. The buyer opted for most of the optional pieces, most importantly the Demon Crate, which included narrow front tires, a special tool kit, high-octane PCM with associated parts and more. They also picked the additional front bucket seat and full-width rear seat as well, allowing passengers to also enjoy the ride. The biggest part of the Demon was its engine: the 6.2L/840 HP supercharged Hemi V-8, which has never been offered again at this highest horsepower level in a passenger car. This included accessories like the LineLoc for burnouts, after-run cooler and SRT Power Chiller. Behind this was a Demon-calibrated TorqueFlite 8-speed automatic transmission, while underneath it is the tunable performance suspension with the Drag Mode option.Outside, this car wears brilliant Octane Red paint with the notorious wide-mouth black hood scoop, spoiler package, wide-body fender openings and power sunroof. Inside is a black interior, and this car came with the Customer Preferred Package 26M and the Comfort Audio Group that includes the 8.4-inch display with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and vehicle adjustment pages. The power driver's seat features lumbar support, and both front seats are even heated and cooled. The Demonic Vehicle Storage Package with cover and trickle battery charger was a final touch of OE support, and the seller is also throwing in sticker-fresh Nitto Drag radials and extra tires as part of the sale. Like the past, the 2018 Demon was only offered as a single release, and it will always retain its notoriety.
